LIU Hongsheng, a professor at School of Life Science, Liaoning University, received B.S. in Microbiology in 1985 from Liaoning University, M.S. in Microbiology from China Agricultural University in 1991 and then received Ph.D in Microbiology and Bioinformatics in 2004 from Gifu University in Japan. Prof. Liu was awarded the Advanced individuals in education and scientific research in Liaoning Province, Outstanding teachers in colleges and universities in Liaoning Province, and Excellent Science Workers in Liaoning Province.

Now he majors in microbiology and bioinformatics including pathogenic microbes molecular mechanism, computational simulation and information processing of biological macromolecules.
