Recently, the guests invited to attend the 6th Hongqiao International Economic Forum have been published on the website of China International Import Expo, CIIE. Yu Miaojie, a representative to the National People's Congress, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Liaoning University has confirmed that he would attend the forum and another two sub-forums, i.e., the Forum of Developing Green Investment and Trade and Co-building a Global Ecological Civilization and the Forum of Upholding a Multilateral Trade System and Improving Global Economic and Trade Governance. Prof. Yu is currently a representative of the 14th National People’s Congress, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Liaoning University. He is a winner of the National Talent Program and a winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He is an outstanding young scientist of Beijing and a Liberal-Art Chair Professor at Peking University. He is a chief expert of major projects of the National Social Science Fund of China, an outstanding young scholar of Huang Tingfang/Xinhe , and is among the top one percent most highly cited economists in the field of economics and management in the entire world. He was specially invited to the United Nations Headquarters to make a report on China’s economic development. Yu’s award-winning study has been rated as one of the three most influential papers by the Economic Journal since its inception in 1891.

Wang Ronming, President of SUIBE, Doctor of Science, Professor, Ph.D. Supervisor. He has served as a member of the 7th and 8th Statistics Discipline Evaluation Group of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, Vice President of Chinese Association for Applied Statistics, Vice Chairman of the Teaching Steering Committee of Statistics Discipline of Institutions of Higher Education designated by the Department of Education, Vice Chairman of China Association of International Trade, member of the Academic Committee of Key Laboratories in Peking University and East China Normal University, Chief Expert of Wang Ronming Workroom for Decision Consulting and Research Base of Shanghai Municipal People's Government.

Abbreviated as HIEF, Hongqiao International Economic Forum serves as an integral part of CIIE with this year’s annual theme being Working Together Promotes Development and Opening up Creates a Bright Future. Apart from the main forum (The opening ceremony of HIEF and CIIE), the “Year of Investing in China” Summit, the release conference and international symposium of the World Openness Report of 2023 where the latest world openness index will be issued and a slew of sub-forums under the four section of “Opening Development”, “Opening Cooperation”, “Opening Innovation” and “Opening Sharing” will also be held.
