DONG Ningning (Lisa) is a lecturer at the College of Communication, Liaoning University, Shenyang, China. Ms. Dong received her Ph.D in Arts from Beijing Normal University in 2010.Her thesis explored the relationship between Chinese traditional aesthetics and ethnic humanism and their application for contemporary Chinese television presenters. Since 2010, Ms. Dong has applied this research in her class titled "Beautiful shape and etiquette", a cross-disciplinary class that encourages students to maximize their potential in both body and soul.
In 2011, she went to Shih Hsin University in Taiwan for academic and cultural visits and exchanges.
Since 2012,she has given some speeches about Chinese traditional culture and aesthetics of life inside and outside school. Meanwhile, she also has launched the reading club “The Practical Wisdom” sharing her study and teaching experiences in the chain Northern Bookstore in Shenyang for exploring more about self-awareness and building connections to be better together.
In 2015, she participated in “2015 Looking China -Shenyang Youth Film Project” as the Chinese supervisor and then attended “2016 Screen Futures Summit” and gave a speech with her business partner Peter.Allen about “ Melbourne to Shenyang: A case study in cross-cultural, collaborative filmmaking” in Melbourne.
In 2016, she was awarded as “Outstanding Undergraduate Teacher” of Liaoning University.
Since 2016, she has been to Cambridge, Oxford, etc. in UK and Stanford University, University of Southern California, etc. in US with the study tour CFCC(China Future Creative Class)of Liaoning University. As the teacher leading the team, she’d love to design some activities using Applied Improvisation for training and facilitation to students’ team work and self-construction.
