School of Art in Liaoning University has five majors, including Performing, Performing of Folk Art, Performing of Folk Art Musical Instrument, Drama, Film, and Television Directing, as well as Drama, Film, and Television Literature. It also offers a professional master’s degree program in the drama domain. There are 41 staff and about 700 students here.

      School of Art insists on optimizing the curriculum and laying emphasis on both theory and practice, and takes it as a goal to cultivate developed talents with advanced skills and moral integrity. School of Art cooperates with many practice bases. The art troupe established in the college is rated as one of the excellent art groups among universities in Liaoning province. Teachers and students have won many honors in domestic and overseas professional contests and festivals and have also achieved many exchange performances in Asian, Africa, Europe, and America.

      School of Art is equipped with an eminent faculty from such first-class professional colleges and universities in China as The Central Academy of Drama, Shanghai Theatre Academy, and Communication University of China. Some teachers are even world-famous screenwriters and actors active in film and television, experienced director planning columns for the Central Propaganda Department and CCTV, and singers with national art fund.

      Graduates from School of Art further their studies in the high-level colleges and universities in China like Tsinghua University, Peking University, The Central Academy of Drama, Communication University of China, and Beijing Film Academy, as well as the well-known art schools in the United States and the United Kingdom. Those graduates who are active in drama, film, and television as screenwriters, directors, or actors are the honor and glory of School of Art.
