Liaoning University has attached great attention to innovation and entrepreneurship education. In order to adapt to the new situation and requirements of the national strategy of innovation-driven development, the College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship was established adhering to the objectives "cultivating the consciousness of innovation, the creative ability, entrepreneurial spirit and forging the innovative talents". The aim is to deepen the reform of I&E education, and comprehensively promote the I&E practice and innovation talents training mechanism in Liaoning University.
The school builds a new platform for the training the innovation spirit, practice ability and innovation ability of high quality college students. The main task is carrying out I&E education, forming innovation practice class, organizing all kinds of innovation and entrepreneurship competition and practical activities, etc.. It has "I&E research center", " I&E training center" and " I&E incubation center"; the exclusive teaching area 2300 m2 and 28 full-time teachers. Actively searching the potential external resources for constructing the "creating communication space", and performing "scientific research assistant education action plan". Optimizing the professional tutors and constructing the excellent project library. More than 150 part-time I&E tutors have been hired. Recruiting the capable students to reorganize the "innovation experimental class" and "entrepreneurial pioneer class", including the "electromechanical class", "electronic class", "mathematical modeling class", "Internet + workshop" and so on. Cooperating with other relevant departments to formulate I&E training schedule, establish the student's I&E archives, consummate the network information service and support the student setting up businesses, etc.. More than 1700 students per year participate in various forms of innovation competition. Since 2012, our University have approved about 1000 I&E training projects for college students, and have blossomed and harvested more than 1500 awards in National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest, National Internet + Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship competition.
