On Nov. 16, the first lecture of the Entrepreneurship Mentor Program is delivered on Chongshan Campus. Mr. Wang Lipeng, the general manager of Xinyi Automobile Sales & Services and alumni of Liaoning University gives the first lecture to an audience of over 50 people.

Through the lecture named “Ready to start a business?” Mr. Wang shares the experience and features of entrepreneurs as well as the basic procedures of starting up business. He also gives 7 pieces of advice according to the current situation of the market: Firstly, students should be aware of the concept of starting a business and its difference from a part-time-student job. Secondly, integrity is the vital characteristic an entrepreneur should hold. Thirdly, only with perseverance can a business starter succeed. Fourthly, it is significant to keep learning and make choices ahead of time. Fifthly, business starters need to be trained in advance to improve their abilities in opportunity identification, team leadership, executive capability and resource integration. Sixthly, entrepreneurs need to keep pace with the changing situations. Finally, business runners need to make long-term plans for future development.
