On the afternoon of Dec. 7, the mobilization conference on increasing first-level discipline doctoral programs is held on Puhe Campus. Secretary of the Party Committee Zhou Haobo and President Pan Yishan attend the conference.

President Pan Yishan makes an introduction to the changes of policy and the time of the declaration, and puts forward three suggestions. Firstly, grasp the opportunities and enhance the discipline construction. Secondly, spare no effort in the document preparation of the declaration. Thirdly, the declaration should cover all the first-level disciplines, and make an overall planning for the master’s programs.

Secretary Zhou Haobo raises five requirements to the declaration. Firstly, reach a consensus and be confident. The declaration of doctor’s and master’s programs is significant to LNU. All departments should reach a consensus. Secondly, facilitate the leadership and implement the work. The dean of each department is the first person responsible for the declaration procedures. Thirdly, determine the targets and tasks, take this opportunity to compare with other universities of Liaoning Province, and complete the documents. Fourthly, integrate the resources and arrange in advance. Find the available resources on and off campus, free our minds, and make rational distribution. Fifthly, the Party Committee and administrative departments should attach great importance and cooperate with each other to realize a good beginning of the 13th Five Year Plan of the university.
