On the afternoon of May 27, LNU held its 2017 Graduate Employment and Startups Conference. Party Secretary ZHOU Haobo, President PAN Yishan and Vice President XU Ping attended the conference.

On behalf of LNU, President PAN Yishan expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the comrades who had worked hard for graduates’ employment and startups, and congratulated those departments that had achieved a lot. Then PAN gave a comprehensive plan from six aspects for 2017’s employment and entrepreneurship work of LNU: 1. To clear the significance and responsibility of the work; 2. To improve the guidance, create a good atmosphere and encourage graduates to look for opportunities within provincial-level and community-level administrative areas; 3. To find more ways to enhance the cooperation and promote a precise docking between supply side and demand side; 4. To implement policies, set up platforms, and lead startups by innovation so as to create more jobs; 5. To perfect the work team to make the guidance more effective and more efficient on graduates employment and entrepreneurship; 6. To optimize the layout, produce innovative models, and continuously improve talent training to make it follow the steps of economic and social development.

Departments that performed well in 2016 in the work of graduate employment and startups were highly commended at the conference. Representatives from College of Pharmacy, School of Art, School of Journalism and Communication and School of Physics shared their work experience with all members.
