On June 26, invited by College of Information, Professor WANG Guoren of Northeastern University came to delivered an academic speech “Large Map Data Management Technology—Map Database Machine” for nearly 130 teachers and students of the college.

Map data now is really a hot research field. Based on the status quo, Prof. WANG introduced to attenders about map data research background, centralized and distributed map data management technologies, and map database machine, which are very common nowadays. Owing to his explanation and on-site Q&As, teachers and students have gained more knowledge about the map data and its management.
