On September 21st, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission issued "The notice of the publication of the list of first-rate universities and universities with first-rate disciplines and the list of world-class disciplines ". Altogether 42 colleges and universities will be developed into first-class educational institutions, and 95 universities will focus on building their preponderant disciplines into first-rates ones. Liaoning University was successfully approved the world-class discipline university.

      On the morning of September 22nd, Zhou Haobo, the secretary of the school party committee, presided over the Standing Committee of the Party Committee in Puhe Campus, and discussed the construction of the "double first-rate" discipline. President Pan Yishan introduced the construction program and other related information. The meeting believed that the entering of the "double first-rate" is the first priority of the development of the disciplines and our university and has great promoting effect of the construction of the school discipline, comprehensive development, and improvement of the overall strength. The meeting made arrangement and deployment on how to nicely build an economic discipline, promote the development of other disciplines, and significantly improve the overall strength of the school.
