On September 24th, President Pan Yishan met with Peter Dawkins, President of Victoria University, Australia.
President Pan Yishan gave credit for the cooperation between the two universities in the past 18 years, and introduced the achievements of LNU in the "double first-rate" construction: Applied Economics was selected as the "first-rate discipline". He hoped that the two sides can take advantage of this opportunity to give full play to their advantages, vigorously integrate high-quality resources, broaden the field of cooperation and enlarge the scales of the two institutes in order to make greater contributions to the cultivation of international first-class talents.
President Peter Dawkins introduced the development of Victoria University and the achievements made in recent years: in the Thames University Rankings of 2017, Victoria University increased by 50 places over 2016, ranking 350th in world universities and 56th of the young universities with under 50-years of history. He hoped that the two institutes can join hands to achieve multi-field and multi-level cooperation in depth in the future.
The two sides also made in-depth consultations about the future cooperation between the two universities.
