From October 14^th-15^th, sponsored by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education, the Liaoning Provincial Department of Finance, Liaoning Province  College Students’ Mechanical Innovation Design Competition and the 8^th National College Students Mechanical Design Contest of Liaoning section were held in Liaoning Chemical University. Altogether 299 teams from 26 universities in Liaoning province entered the contest, including two teams from Liaoning University.

The work named “Assisted artificial apple picking system based on Bionic snake mouth and gesture control” from LNU, instructed by Wu Xinjie & Kang Dawei and finished by Fu Muqing, Li Tong, Zhang Haoran, Zhang Qingliang, Su Fangyuan, won the second prize. Another work named “Intelligent picking robot arm in fruit gathering manner”, instructed by Gao Zhe & Liu Dian and finished by Dong Fangfei, Jiang Mengmeng, Jiang Yixiong, Niu Jianen and Zhou Lin, won the third prize. Mr. Liu Dian was awarded the Advanced Individual for the Contest Organization Work.
