Recently, China University Alumni Association (CUAA.Net) has released the ranking list of 2018 China’s ‘211 Project’ universities, where LNU ranked 87th, with comprehensive strength ranking 104th. The university moved up nine places compared to last year’s ranking to take the leadership of the top universities in Liaoning Province. It was awarded with a Four-Star rating and listed as one of the ‘World Famous, China’s Top Universities’ for its running level. In the individual rankings, the teaching quality and graduate quality ranked 5th in Liaoning Province.
The evaluation indicators of CUAA ranking include: high-end scientific research achievements, extraordinary academic staff, outstanding alumni, discipline construction, professional construction, teaching level and global influence. Since this year, the selection result of the “Double First-rate” universities and disciplines has been considered as an assessment indicator of CUAA ranking system. This demonstrates that being listed in the ‘Double First-rate’ construction project has a profound impact on the university development. The construction achievement of world-class universities and first-class disciplines will directly affect various rankings, and have an effect on the future development of comprehensive strength, as well as core competitiveness of the university.
