On the afternoon of March 11, 2021, the School of Journalism and Communication held a Guest Professor appointment ceremony. Mr. Guan Jie, former Senior Reporter of Shenyang Daily, national first-class writer, member of Chinese Writers Association, member of Liaoning Writers Association, and Vice Chairman of the Shenyang Writers Association, was appointed as Guest Professor of Liaoning University. Afterwards, Mr. Guan Jie gave a lecture on the theme of “How to be an Excellent Journalist”. He shared his rich experience in journalism with faculty and students of the College in terms of reporter quality, reporting topic selection, interviewing skills, as well as news writing, and answered questions posed by them.
