On November 6, 2021, the “Foreign Affairs and Diplomacy Contest of Liaoning Province” was successfully held. The theme of the contest was “Knowing manners and showing decency, being close and kind to neighbors”. It aimed to cultivate the interest of college students in foreign affairs and show the open-mindedness, inclusiveness and innovation of Chinese youth in the new era. It intended to enhance college students’ capabilities of handling international affairs and expand the talent pool in Liaoning Province.

The contest consisted of three rounds: English keynote speech, objective questions, and simulated spokesmen’s statements. It examined contestants on the ability of making special speeches in English in particular situations, their knowledge of foreign affairs, and their quick response and coping capability in limited time.

The team named Sailing from Liaoning University performed well in all sections of the contest, and fully demonstrated a wealth of knowledge reserves and good comprehensive qualities.
