On Jan. 9, 2024, a delegation team led by Yu Rong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and Secretary of Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation (CAITEC) of the Ministry of Commerce, together with Wei Pingdong, Deputy Director of the Education Cooperation Office, Shao Yujia, Deputy Director of the Post-doctoral Office, Wang Danlei, officer of the Education Cooperation Office and Xia Xingxing, officer of the CPC Committee Office of CAITEC of the Ministry of Commerce conducted research activities at Liaoning University on post-doctoral joint training, joint training of postgraduates, discipline construction and scientific research cooperation, and cooperation on newly-added doctoral units.
Pan Yishan, Secretary of the CPC Committee of LNU met the delegation from CAITEC of the Ministry of Commerce. Secretary Pan affirmed the excellent achievements made in cooperation between the two sides and introduced the breakthroughs achieved at the university in recent years. He expressed his expectation that the two sides could continue to strengthen cooperation in discipline construction, scientific research cooperation, think tank construction and talent training in a way to improve the quality of talent training, yield more high-end achievements and broaden the areas of cooperation.
Yu Miaojie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of LNU extended a warm welcome to the delegates from CAITEC of the Ministry of Commerce. By introducing the development of the school in recent years from the aspects of discipline development, teaching staff, talent training, platform construction, social and international influence, he expressed his thanks to the support and assistance from the academy, hoping to jointly promote between CAITEC of the Ministry of Commerce and Liaoning University the training, projects, and academic output of the Business Development Institute (Beijing). The meeting was presided over by Vice President Huo Chunhui.
Secretary Yu introduced the basic situation of CAITEC of the Ministry of Commerce and expressed the hope that the two sides could further the cooperation in a pragmatic manner by combining each other’s strengths.
The conference was also joined by personnel from Liaoning University’s Personnel Department, Office of Strategic Planning and Discipline Construction, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Financial Administration Office, Graduate School, School of International Economics and International Relations, School of Economics, and the Business Development Institute (Beijing).
