On March 7, 2024, the ‘Top Ten Outstanding College Students of Shenyang’ defense and evaluation meeting was successfully held at Shenyang Open University.

Following recommendations from universities in Shenyang and thorough review by the evaluation committee, 29 candidates from various institutions across the city competed for the honor of being named one of the ‘Top Ten Outstanding College Students of Shenyang’ for the year 2023. During the on-site defense process, these candidates delivered speeches covering various aspects including moral integrity, academic research, academic competitions, innovative inventions, social practices, volunteer services, and cultural and sports competitions. Among them were academic achievers who ranked top in their fields; young dreamers with outstanding research abilities and multiple academic papers and practical patents; student leaders with excellent organizational and management skills; and college student volunteers who shine in volunteer services, dedicated to contributing to society. They have dreams and goals, are willing to endure hardships, and are determined to progress, serving as steadfast adherents to their own ideals and beliefs. They fully demonstrate the vigorous and enterprising spirit and the unremitting pursuit of taking on responsibilities and living up to expectations of the new generation of youth.

Through presentations, expert evaluations, and on-site defenses, ten students including Ji Nan were honored ‘Top Ten Outstanding College Students of Shenyang’ for the year 2023.

In the future, as outstanding representatives of the youth in Shenyang, they will undoubtedly, like the heroes before them, integrate their lofty ideals into the rejuvenation of the nation and the construction of the motherland. They will shoulder the future of the country, the destiny of the nation, and the happiness of the people. They will take on the responsibilities that contemporary youth must bear, stride towards the broad stage of realizing their own values and strive to contribute their wisdom and strength to Shenyang's role as a vanguard in the ‘Six Areas’ of Liaoning, thus vigorously composing a new chapter of Chinese-style modernization in Shenyang.
