On March 7, 2024, Pan Yishan, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Liaoning University collected suggestions concerning the report of the 13th Party Congress. He also conducted research activities related to campus safety, progress on the Three-year Action Plan and the formulation of the target book at the College of Foreign Languages of Wusheng Campus. Sun Shiguo, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Liaoning University also joined the activities.

Pan Yishan and other colleagues went to the gymnasium, teaching buildings, substation and library for safety inspections. He laid out specific requirements for the safety guarantee mechanism, including management measures and assessing existing problems, stressing these as an essential part of daily work, and the need to take pragmatic and concrete measures to guarantee sustained safety on campus.

In the morning, Pan Yishan held a meeting with representatives of teachers and students to solicit opinions on the report of the 13th Party Congress of Liaoning University. They offered opinions about the report and put forward suggestions on the difficulties they met during development. They believed that the report was organized in a comprehensive and high-profile fashion to summarize the inspiring achievements made since the last congress and drew long-term goals for the next five years. Pan Yishan expressed his appreciation for the suggestions raised from different perspectives and confirmed that the suggestions would be fully considered by the school.

In the afternoon, Pan Yishan joined the class of Situation and Policy taught by Mr. Liu Xuemei for the students from the Business English Department of Grade 2021. He listened carefully, took notes, and provided positive feedback on teaching and students’ interactions. After class, he had a cordial exchange with teacher Liu Xuemei by saying that full advantage should be taken of the role of the course and that ideological and political elements should be embedded in all courses. By doing so, socialist builders and successors will be trained enjoying all-round development in morality, intelligence, sports, art and labor.

Later, Pan Yishan attended a meeting on the Three-year Action Plan of the college in Room 307. Leaders of the college and heads of relevant departments reported their work at the meeting. He noted that serving the Three-year Action Plan means high-quality development and that LNU needs should be identified and how it works by taking the right direction and seizing the opportunity. He added that it is important to solve real problems by contacting enterprises and forming professional teams so that Wusheng Campus can take tailored measures and appropriate contributions.

Lastly, Pan Yishan attended a discussion on goals of the target book in 2024. He demanded that full awareness of the significance of formulating the book and reviewing the formulation work as a reorganization of the whole year’s work. It was important to adjust unreasonable targets and tasks.   

Members from the Party Affairs Office, Department of Publicity, Teaching Affairs Department, Students Affairs Department, Youth League Committee, Office of Social Services and Security Department participated in the activities.
