LNU Students Win Awards in 2023 Provincial Education System Constitutional Study and Education Promotion Activity

The Education Department of Liaoning Province and the Liaoning Provincial Department of Justice has announced the list of winners in the 2023 Provincial Education System Constitutional Study and Education Promotion Activity. LNU students achieved excellent results in multiple competitions. Jiang Xunyi, a student from the College of Communication, won First Prize in the 2023 Provincial Youth Student ‘Constitution Growing with Me’ Theme Essay Competition. Li Tongtong, a student from the School of Law, won Third Prize in the 2023 Provincial Youth Student Constitutional Literacy Competition. Huang Junbo, also from the School of Law, won an Outstanding Award in the 2023 Provincial Youth Student ‘Learn Constitution & Speak Constitution’ Speech Competition. LNU was awarded the Best Organizing Unit of the 2023 Liaoning Provincial Education System ‘Constitution Defenders’ Action Plan.



From June to December 2023, the Education Department and the Liaoning Provincial Department of Justice organized a six-month constitution study and education promotion activity in the entire education system of the province. To facilitate the smooth implementation of the event, in accordance with the decision and deployment of the university's party committee, the ‘Implementation Plan for Liaoning University to Carry out the Eighth Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for Legal Education in the National Education System’ was implemented. Multiple units including the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee, the Office of Legal Affairs, the Youth League Committee, the Student Affairs Office, and the School of Law worked together, carefully planned and deployed the activities, and received active participation from students and faculty in various colleges.

The activities achieved significant results. In the 2023 ‘Constitution Defenders’ Action Plan, a total of 16,537 LNU students participated in the study through the Ministry of Education's National Youth Legal Education Website, becoming ‘Young Constitution Defenders’, with a participation rate of 91.19%. Students actively participated in various ‘Learn Constitution & Speak Constitution’ activities organized by the university, including constitution speeches, knowledge competitions, constitution essays, constitution morning reading, and micro-videos on ‘Me and the Constitution’, promoting constitution learning and education in various forms. Students also actively participated in the Constitution and legal knowledge quiz activities held on the ‘Liaoning Legal Awareness’ WeChat official account, gaining constitution-related knowledge in a fun quiz process, further immersing themselves in the world of the Constitution, and becoming knowledgeable youth on the Constitution.
