On June 13, 2024, Liaoning University held high-level talks with Springer Nature Group at the Administrative Office Building of Pubei Campus, Liaoning University. Professor Yu Miaojie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Liaoning University, Deputy to the 14th National People's Congress, Special Supervisor of the National Supervisory Commission, and Fellow of the International Economic Association, along with Mr. Arnout Jacobs, President of Springer Nature Greater China, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. The discussion was chaired by Ms. Zhang Yingying, Senior Book Editor of Springer Nature Group.
President Yu Miaojie introduced the historical development and basic overview of Liaoning University, extending a warm welcome to the distinguished guests from Springer Nature Group. President Arnout Jacobs acknowledged Springer Nature's status as the world's largest academic book publisher, highlighting its profound expertise and significant advantages across all disciplines, particularly in AI applications and author services. Based on their fruitful long-term collaboration with Liaoning University, President Arnout expressed keen anticipation for deeper cooperation and strategic development.
Springer Nature's Senior Book Editor Zhang Yingying, Senior Journal Publisher Han Jia, and China Sales Director Zhou Qing provided comprehensive and targeted presentations on international publishing processes and distinctive advantages, journal resource integration and international promotion, and electronic resources supporting Liaoning University's research development. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges regarding Liaoning University's key development directions in teaching and research, publication of representative book series, enhancement of scholars' research capabilities, and cooperation on international journals, detailing specific responsibilities and coordination arrangements for future collaboration.
