On June 25, 2024, the 6th lecture of Bai Qinxian Lecture by Overseas Prestigious Scholars was held at Puhe Campus of Liaoning University, where Professor Li Sali from the Department of International Business, Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina was invited to Liaoning University to give a lecture. Professor Huo Chunhui, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and Vice President of Liaoning University attended the lecture and introduced the guest speaker. The lecture was presided over by Professor Han Liangliang, Vice President of Business School of Liaoning University.
Themed ‘Leveling Artificial Intelligence in Platform Ecosystems: Role Alignment from a Completer Perspective’, Professor Li discussed how to improve enterprise management efficiency by using artificial intelligence. He noted that the rapid development of AI technology and its increasingly widespread application in enterprise management had brought much convenience to enterprises. However, its application has also posed some challenges. Meanwhile, he elaborated on the application and effect of AI technology in the market and analyzed the influence of technological synergy and time synergy. He believed that technological synergy could improve the innovative ability and efficiency of enterprises while time synergy could optimize the production and operation strategies of enterprises. His lecture was presented in an easy way based on his profound knowledge, enabling the audience a deeper understanding of the application of AI technology in all aspects and also providing useful inspirations for them in their practical study and work.
After the lecture, Professor Huo Chunhui, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and Vice President of Liaoning University presented Professor Li with a commemorative certificate of Bai Qingxian Lecture by Overseas Prestigious Scholars and Shi Yun, Vice President of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences presented flowers to him.
Over 80 leaders, alumni, teachers and students from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences and Business School attended the lecture.
Li Sali: biography
Li Sali has a Ph.D. in International Strategic Management from the University of Utah, USA and is Professor of International Business Department, Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. He was awarded a ‘Promising Scholar’ by the Academy of International Business in 2017 and the Lazardis Award for the best papers in the Journal of Business Venturing in 2020. He is currently Deputy Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Management and Senior Editor of the Journal of World Business. He is co-author of Enterprise International Strategy ‘From 1 to M’ and his papers have been published in Decision Science, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of International Business Studies, Organization Science, Harvard Business Review and other international academic journals. He has also won the best paper of the year of the American Management Conference many times, including best paper in emerging markets of the American Center for International Business Education and Research.
