On June 26, 2024, the Symposium on the Establishment of a High-quality Development Think Tank for Finance of Liaoning Province was held in Conference Room 306 of the Administrative Office Building at Puhe Campus of Liaoning University. Xu Jihua, Member of the Liaoning Provincial Financial Work Committee, and Qiu Huanguang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and Vice President of Liaoning University, attended the meeting.

At the symposium, Qiu Huanguang warmly welcomed the delegation of the Office of the Liaoning Provincial Financial Work Committee. He noted that Liaoning University, as a ‘Double First-Class’ construction institution, has a solid academic foundation in financial research. He emphasized that providing intellectual support for the high-quality development of finance in Liaoning is an indispensable social responsibility and mission for Liaoning University.

Xu Jihua expressed gratitude for the high regard shown by LNU in the construction of think tanks and presented his insights and perspectives on how to focus on building a strong financial province to create a high-level think tank. He hoped that both sides would strengthen cooperation, build a long-term mechanism, and contribute to the high-quality development of finance in Liaoning Province.

Both sides engaged in an in-depth discussion on the functional positioning, main tasks, operational mechanisms, and other aspects of the construction of the think tank for the high-quality development of finance in Liaoning. They also exchanged views on specific construction arrangements in the near future, aiming to provide a series of practical and feasible implementation plans to achieve the strategic goal of making Liaoning a financially strong province.

Officials from relevant functional departments of the Liaoning Provincial Financial Work Committee and the Faculty of Economics of Liaoning University attended the meeting.
