Six LNU Teachers Awarded 2024 Liaoning Famous Undergraduate Teachers

The Educational Department of Liaoning Province issued the Notice on Publishing the List of Awarded Undergraduate Famous Teachers in Liaoning Province in 2024 a few days ago. Six teachers from Liaoning University (LNU), including Wang Sufen, Zhang Yan, Zheng Fangliang, Zhao Yanchang, Lou Zhenning and Xue Youlin were awarded as Liaoning Undergraduate Famous Teachers, bringing Liaoning University the first in terms of the number of awarded teachers in Liaoning Province.  

Teachers are vital to teaching. Teachers are also good examples for Liaoning University to deliver on its fundamental task of training virtuous talents. In recent years, Liaoning University has been working hard to cultivate excellent teachers as a way to promote the high quality development of undergraduate teaching. Teachers at Liaoning University have been committed to the common value of sincerity, devotion and innovation.

A brief introduction to the awarded teachers at LNU

 

     

Wang Sufen is a professor, Ph.D. supervisor, Ph.D. in law and postdoctoral fellow in economics. She is a teacher from the Law School of Liaoning University. She is also Executive Director of China Social Law Research Association, Executive Director of the Liaoning Provincial Law Society and a member of the academic committee. She is an outstanding young and middle-aged legal expert, a leading talent in the first rule of law development in Liaoning Province, a core member of the first outstanding postgraduate supervisor team in Liaoning Province and an outstanding CPC member at Liaoning University. She lectures courses such as the Law of Labor and Social Security and has presided over the completion of a number of teaching reform topics. Her recorded course Law of Labor and Social Security has been broadcast on online teaching platforms.

 

     

Zhang Yan is a professor, Ph.D. supervisor, Ph.D. in literature and Vice President of School of Journalism and Communication of Liaoning University. She is a leading talent in radio, television and network audio-visual industry in Liaoning province and a young and middle-aged backbone teacher in teaching and scientific research in Liaoning province. She is also Executive Director of the Professional Committee of Journalism, Communication and Education History of China Journalism History Society and Executive Director of the Professional Committee of Editing and Publishing. She lectures courses such as International Communication, Cross-cultural Communication and Introduction to Digital Publishing. Some of her courses have been awarded as first-class undergraduate courses in Liaoning Province. She has presided over three key and general projects of provincial educational reform and has edited the textbook Digital Marketing of Publishing Industry. She has guided  student competitions for many times to win the provincial gold medal in the Challenge Cup extracurricular academic science and technology competition for university students.

 

     

Zheng Fangliang is a professor, masters supervisor, Ph.D. in science and teacher from the College of Life Sciences of Liaoning University. He is Director of Liaoning Life Science Society. His course Immunology has been awarded as a first-class undergraduate course in Liaoning Province. He has presided over one collaborative education project by the Ministry of Education, one teaching reform project in Liaoning Province, published three teaching reform papers, edited one teaching material and won two second prizes in Liaoning Teaching Achievement Award. He has guided students to win four national bronze prizes in China International University Student Innovation Competition.

 

     

Zhao Yanchang is a professor, Ph.D. supervisor, master in History and Dean of School of Information Resources Management of Liaoning University. He is a state-level archivist and a leading talent in Liaoning Provinces archival system. He is currently Director of China Archives Society, Vice Chairman of Liaoning Archives Society and Vice Chairman of the Archives Culture Professional Committee of China Archives Society. His course History of China Archives has been awarded as a first-class undergraduate course in Liaoning Province. He has independently presided over three provincial-level teaching reform projects, published more than 20 papers on teaching reform, edited two textbooks and teaching reference books and won the second and third prizes of Liaoning Undergraduate Teaching Achievement Award.

 

     

Lou Zhenning is a professor, Ph.D. supervisor, Ph.D. in engineering and teacher from the College of Chemistry of Liaoning University. She is a famous teacher in the teaching of ideological and political demonstration courses and an expert in the evaluation of undergraduate education and teaching in colleges and universities nationwide. Her courses Analytical Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry Experiment have been awarded as first-class undergraduate courses in Liaoning Province. She has presided over one provincial-level educational reform project, published 11 educational reform papers and edited one new teaching material of Analytical Chemistry Experiment. She has won the first prize of the Teaching Achievement Award of the Key Project of Education and Scientific Research Planning of the Ministry of Education, the first prize of the Teaching Achievement Award of Liaoning Province and the second prize of the 4th National Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition in Liaoning Province.

 

     

Xue Youlin is a professor, masters supervisor, Ph.D. in agriculture and Dean of School of Light Industry of Liaoning University. He is also an expert in undergraduate education evaluation of the Ministry of Education and a member of the Teaching Steering Committee of Food Science and Engineering in Liaoning Province. His course Food Technology has been awarded as a first-class undergraduate course in Liaoning Province. He has won the second prize of Liaoning Undergraduate Teaching Achievement Award and the first prize of Liaoning Undergraduate Informationized Teaching Case Award. He has presided over one New Agricultural Research and Reform Practice Project of the Ministry of Education, four Cooperative Educational Projects of Industry and University and published 15 teaching reform papers.
