Yu Miaojie Conducts Investigations at LNU Publishing House

On the afternoon of April 22, Yu Miaojie, President of Liaoning University (LNU), presided over an investigation and held a symposium on the work of the publishing house in Conference Room 707 of the LNU Publishing House.

 


 

After listening to the introduction by the leadership team, Yu Miaojie fully affirmed the work of the publishing house. He pointed out that under the leadership of the publishing house’s leadership team, the publishing house has a high political stance, strong professional capabilities, abundant entrepreneurial spirit, and deep work sentiment, and has achieved gratifying results. He emphasized that, firstly, it is necessary to give full play to the resource advantages, qualification advantages, and personnel advantages of the publishing house, and play an active role in the publication of teaching materials, academic works, and other aspects. Secondly, it is necessary to increase the intensity of marketing and promotion, strengthen the brand awareness, make good use of online sales channels such as JD.com and Taobao, as well as the WeChat official account of the publishing house, and continuously enhance the influence of the publishing house’s books and the popularity of the publishing house. Thirdly, it is necessary to combine the publishing work with discipline construction and the development of the university, continuously integrate resources from all aspects, and contribute more to the high-quality development of the university.

Yu Miaojie also shared his views and suggestions on the commemorative meeting for the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the publishing house.

The responsible leaders of relevant functional departments had an in-depth discussion on the management measures of the publishing fund for academic achievements of the publishing house.

 


Representatives from the Party and Administrative Office, Development Planning and Disciplinary Construction Office, Social Sciences Research Institute, Science and Technology Research Institute, School of Economics, and Graduate School, as well as members of the publishing house leadership, attended the meeting.
