On May 17, 2025, the Founding Conference of the MBA/EMBA Alumni Association of Liaoning University (LNU) Business School was held at Jonathan KS Choi Hall. Huo Chunhui, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and Vice President of Liaoning University, attended the conference. More than 300 people participated in the event, including relevant responsible comrades of the Business School, retired senior leaders, teacher representatives, MBA/EMBA alumni, and current students. The conference was chaired by Li Junjie, an MBA alumnus of 2002 Cohort and Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Center of Shenbei New District, Shenyang City.
At the conference, Huo Chunhui extended congratulations to the Business School and the attending alumni, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all sectors who had worked hard for the establishment of the Alumni Association, and warmly welcomed the alumni friends who attended the conference. He pointed out that the MBA education of LNU serves as a cradle for cultivating business leaders and management elites in the new era, and stands as a banner for the university’s high-level and large-scale education, having delivered a large number of outstanding talents to society. MBA/EMBA alumni from various industries have become the backbone force in the revitalization of Northeast China and national development. He emphasized that LNU attaches great importance to alumni work. The MBA/EMBA Alumni Association should, under the leadership of the General Alumni Association of LNU, fulfill its duties in accordance with laws and regulations, build a warm and valuable "home for alumni", and promote deep integration between alumni and their alma mater in talent cultivation, scientific research cooperation, employment, and entrepreneurship, forming a benign cycle of alma mater supporting alumni, and alumni giving back to alma mater. He hoped that alumni would carry forward the motto spirit of LNU, courageously shoulder missions in industrial transformation and social services, and demonstrate the vision and elegance of LNU MBA/EMBA professionals.
Han Xuesong, Director of the Cooperation and Development Office, read out the “Approval for the Establishment of the MBA/EMBA Alumni Association of Liaoning University Business School”, officially announcing the establishment of the MBA/EMBA Alumni Association of LNU Business School.
The conference deliberated and adopted the “Constitution of the MBA/EMBA Alumni Association of Liaoning University Business School” and elected the members of the first leadership team. Huo Chunhui issued a letter of appointment to Jiao Yuquan as the elected Honorary Chair; Li Yuhua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Business School, issued a letter of appointment to Liu Zhongxue as the elected Chair; Han Liangliang, Dean of the Business School, issued a letter of appointment to Li Qing as the elected Supervisor; Ma Xiaojun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Zhang Guangning, Deputy Dean, respectively issued letters of appointment to the elected Vice Chair and Deputy Supervisor; and Liu Zhongxue issued letters of appointment to Zhai Liying as the elected Secretary-General and the Deputy Secretary-General.
Jiao Yuquan reviewed his career development in the postal and financial industries, expressed gratitude for the MBA education at LNU, and stated that he would spare no effort to support the construction and development of the alumni association, continuing to contribute to the MBA education cause of LNU.
Liu Zhongxue expressed his confidence in the future development of the alumni association and urged all alumni to actively participate in and support the activities of the association, working together to help the alma mater and all alumni to create even greater glory.
Li Qing shared his many years of experience in enterprise management, as well as his thoughts on the future activity organization and service support of the alumni association, offering suggestions for the stable operation of the alumni association.
Jiang Zan, an MBA alumnus of 2006 Cohort and current Founder of Beijing Asia Investment Think Tank Consulting Co., Ltd., spoke as a representative of outstanding alumni. With 30 years of experience in management of state-owned and private enterprises, as well as rich experience in consulting, planning, and capital operation, he profoundly analyzed the key points of enterprise management upgrading and innovative development under the current complex economic situation. He brought a brainstorming session full of valuable insights to the alumni present, demonstrating the profound expertise and remarkable influence of LNU MBA alumni in their professional fields.
Kong Deshu, an MBA alumnus of 2002 Cohort and current Secretary of the Faku County Party Committee in Shenyang City, spoke as a representative of outstanding alumni. Taking his work experience as an example, he elaborated on how he has applied the knowledge and insights gained during his MBA studies at LNU in local economic development, integrating theoretical knowledge with the practical needs of county-level economic growth to promote regional economic takeoff. His speech showcased the sense of responsibility and commitment of LNU MBA professionals in serving society and benefiting local communities.
Liu Zhongxue, on behalf of the alumni association, presented calligraphy and paintings to the Business School of LNU.
The establishment of the MBA/EMBA Alumni Association of LNU Business School marks a significant milestone in the development of MBA/EMBA education at the school, inaugurating a new chapter in alumni affairs for LNU Business School. Leveraging the alumni association as a bond, the alumni will actively participate in various activities organized by the association, collectively contributing to alumni growth, school construction, and university development.
