On May 23, 2025, the National Award Ceremony on Cultural and Ideological Progress was held in Beijing. The Publicity and Ideological Work Directorate of the CPC Central Committee released the decision on conferring the title of National Civilized City (District) to 202 cities (districts), the title of National Civilized Village and Town to 3,316 villages and towns, the title of National Civilized Department to 4,688 departments, the title of National Civilized Family to 798 families, and the title of National Civilized Campus to 890 schools; to award the Ninth National Moral Model honorary title to 60 individuals (groups), and the Ninth National Model of Morality to 239 comrades (groups). Among them, Liaoning University (LNU) was awarded the title National Civilized Campus.

Liaoning University always adheres to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in a new era, studies and applies the important message of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee. It upholds the fundamental task of training virtuous talents, strengthens top-level design, takes the building of a civilized campus as a top priority, fully aligns with the Six Good standards, and endeavors to build an exemplary campus for excellence, entrepreneurship, integrity, vitality, happiness and dynamism.
