On May 22, 2025, the 2025 PhD Face-to-Face Activities was grandly kicked off. Pan Yishan, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Liaoning University (LNU), was invited to attend the PhD Face-to-Face Activities held at Shenyang Broadcasting and Television Station. Approximately 160 participants attended the event, including Wu Tingbao, Member of the Standing Committee of Shenyang Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor, Sun Hongwei, Member of the Standing Committee of Shenyang Municipal Party Committee and Head of the Organization Department, Wang Zhigang, Secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and Director of Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, Mao Zhiyuan, Secretary of the Party Branch and Director of Shenyang Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Mei Jinchun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Liaoning Materials Laboratory as well as PhD representatives who have worked in Shenyang and new PhD representatives from home and abroad.

Pan Yishan addressed the development prospects for young talents at Liaoning University and the university’s policy support from current development opportunities, long-term development prospects, academic development and comprehensive development. He sincerely invited outstanding young talents to join Liaoning University. Taking the growth of outstanding PhD teachers who have joined the university in the past two years as examples, he noted that the university’s Party committee attaches great importance to the development of young talents. He added that by fully utilizing national, provincial and municipal talent policies, the university continuously strengthens support for young talents’ development and builds growth mechanisms and platforms for them, which enables talents to settle down, feel at ease, and thrive at Liaoning University. Through the high-quality development of Liaoning University, it will contribute to the Three-Year Action Plan for Comprehensive Revitalization of Liaoning Province.

The event featured the atmosphere of “Mayor Invites You to Home as a Guest”,  which narrowed the distance between PhD students and Shenyang municipal leaders and leaders of employers. Officials provided detailed introductions regarding Shenyang’s urban development, talent introduction and cultivation policies, employment and other aspects.
