On May 26, 2025, a signing ceremony on cooperation between Liaoning University (LNU) and Shenyang University was successfully held. Pan Yishan, Secretary of the CPC Committee of LNU, Yu Miaojie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of LNU, Qu Xiangjun, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Shenyang University, Zhao Yanzhi, President of Shenyang University and Vice Presidents Zhang Guangsheng and Tang Jupeng of Shenyang University attended the event. Yan Hai, Vice President of LNU presided over the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Pan Yishan noted that Liaoning University and Shenyang University had long maintained a close cooperative relationship, with mutual support in areas such as talent cultivation, disciplinary development, and internationalized education. He expressed the hope that through strategic cooperation, the two universities would promote resource sharing and draw on each other’s strengths. By doing so, it would serve as a pacesetter for cooperation between local universities, thus serving the economic and social development needs of Liaoning Province and Shenyang City and contributing to regional industrial upgrading and technological innovation.

Qu Xiangjun shared the development of Shenyang University in recent years. He added that the university aims to build a “university with emotion and human touch” and focuses on the growth of both teachers and students. He promised that in the future, a daily communication and coordination mechanism would be established with LNU to fully implement specific projects in the cooperation agreement.    

Yu Miaojie and Zhao Yanzhi jointly signed the Cooperation Agreement between Liaoning University and Shenyang University. The two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in such aspects as discipline development, talent training, scientific research cooperation, platform building, international cooperation and exchanges and think tanks.

After the signing ceremony, Qu Xiangjun and his delegation visited the One-stop Talent Cultivation Community and the Scenario-based Mechanism Laboratory of LNU. They learned in detail about the university’s integrated strategy featuring real issue-based talent cultivation, scientific research and social services.    

Officials from relevant departments of both universities attended the signing ceremony.
