On October 14, 2025, the signing ceremony of the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement between Liaoning University (LNU) and Sinopec (Dalian) Petrochemical Research Institute Co., Ltd. was grandly held in Dalian. Pan Yishan, Secretary of the Party Committee of LNU, and Hou Shuandi, President of Dalian Institute attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches. Lu Anhui, Vice President of LNU, and Wang Gang, Vice President of Dalian Institute, signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on behalf of both parties.
Pan Yishan expressed his gratitude to Dalian Institute for its great preparation and highly praised the remarkable achievements made by Dalian Institute. He pointed out that LNU had achieved fruitful results in the fields of new catalytic systems and green chemical technology, possesses a number of provincial key laboratories and high-level scientific research teams, and has established cooperation with many leading enterprises in the industry, cultivating a large number of high-quality talents who meet the needs of the industry. He stated that the cooperation with Dalian Institute is not only an important practice for LNU to adhere to the “Three-Goes” strategy and deepen the integration of industries, university and research, but also the responsibility to boost the high-quality development of Liaoning’s petrochemical industry, which will provide a broader platform for the transformation of LNU’s scientific research achievements and talent cultivation. He emphasized that in the future, LNU will focus on solving real problems in social practical scenarios, further explore new paths of university-enterprise cooperation with Dalian Institute, and carry out pragmatic and efficient cooperation in such fields as jointly undertaking major national and provincial projects, co-building joint laboratories, and deepening talent cultivation, so as to realize resource sharing and advantage aggregation.
Hou Shuandi warmly welcomed Pan Yishan and his delegation. He introduced the overall situation of Dalian Institute and expressed the hope of taking this exchange as an opportunity to comprehensively deepen the strategic cooperation between the two parties. He emphasized that in the future, the two parties should give full play to their respective advantages in scientific and technological innovation, talent cultivation and other aspects, and through normalized exchange mechanisms such as co-building joint laboratories and setting up on-campus offices, stimulate innovative thinking, promote interdisciplinary integration, and jointly push the core competitiveness and high-quality development level of both parties to a new stage.
Accompanied by Hou Shuandi and Wang Gang, Pan Yishan and his delegation visited Dalian Institute’s scientific research achievement exhibition hall, high-throughput equipment, micro-reaction evaluation equipment, carbon material pilot platform. They had in-depth exchanges with on-site technical personnel on research directions such as new catalytic materials and low-carbon chemical technology, discussed issues such as technical transformation pain points and basic research needs, and initially clarified the cooperation focus of the two parties, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent signing of agreements and the implementation of projects.
