Recently, the 2025 “FLTRP ETIC Cup” “Understanding Contemporary China” National Foreign Language Proficiency Competition National Finals successfully concluded. Faculty and students from the College of Foreign Studies at Liaoning University, leveraging their profound academic expertise and strong competitive capabilities, achieved a historic breakthrough in this nationwide foreign language contest. They secured the Outstanding Organization Award, one first prize in the National Finals of the “Teaching Star” Competition by FLTRP, and two silver awards in the National Finals of the Foreign Language Proficiency Competition (Multilingual Group). Both the number and quality of awards set the highest record since the school began participating in the competition.
In the “Teaching Star” category for faculty, the teaching team composed of Zhao Qiunan and Du Juan from the College of Foreign Studies won the first prize in the National Finals, demonstrating exceptional classroom teaching skills and innovative instructional design while competing against numerous outstanding peers.

In the “National Foreign Language Proficiency Competition (Multilingual Group)” category for students, Xiang Jie, an undergraduate majoring in Japanese (Class of 2023), and Liu Ruiqi, a graduate student in Japanese Language and Literature (Class of 2024), both from the School of Foreign Studies, secured silver awards in the National Finals.
