On January 4, 2025, the 14-day “Immerse in the East” American Teenager Science and Innovation Cultural Study Program came to a successful conclusion, followed by a closing ceremony. Representatives from the Institute of International Education of Liaoning University (LNU), instructors from the College of Liberal Arts, College of Communication, and all American participants attended the closing ceremony.
This study program was a well-organized, content-rich, diverse, and profoundly meaningful international educational and cultural exchange activity. Through virtual simulation courses, visit to humanities laboratories, drone base training, ice and snow culture study trips, visits to famous landmarks, and experience with intangible cultural heritage, the participants not only deeply appreciated the charm of Chinese history and culture and the achievements of modern technology but also broadened their global perspectives. They enhanced their ability to understand differences and respect diversity in cross-cultural contexts, and forged strong friendships with volunteers from Liaoning University.

During the closing ceremony, the American team leader expressed sincere gratitude for the meticulous arrangements made by Liaoning University and highly praised the program’s curriculum and activity design. Two carefully produced videos were played at the ceremony, resonating deeply with all attendees. The participants’ self-edited training course outcomes and the commemorative video produced by the Institute of International Education vividly captured the joy, exploration, growth, and friendships during the program, preserving countless precious moments forever.
At the end of the ceremony, the university presented certificates of completion to the participants, and representatives of the Chinese instructors gifted them commemorative souvenirs.
