Recently, the Chinese Chemical Society (CCS) officially announced the 2025 list of elected Fellows of the Chinese Chemical Society (FCCS). Professor Lu Anhui, Vice President of Liaoning University (LNU), has been elected in recognition of his outstanding academic contributions to the fields of energy catalysis and porous materials.

Established in 2019, the FCCS is the highest academic title within the CCS membership system. It is awarded to distinguished scholars who have made systematic and creative achievements in chemistry and related fields, with no more than 50 new Fellows elected each year.

Professor Lu has long been dedicated to research in the catalytic conversion of low-carbon resources, the design of porous materials, and gas adsorption and separation. He originally proposed the strategy of “nanospace-confined pyrolysis” and pioneered a new route for non-metal boron-based catalysis, yielding remarkable scientific achievements.

This election is not only a profound recognition of Professor Lu’s academic attainments and contributions to the field, but also a significant testament to LNU’s academic development, cultivation of high-level talents, and capabilities in scientific research and innovation.
