On September 1, 2026, Yu Chunhai, China Regional Director of the Association of North America Higher Education International (ANAHEI), and Li Yong, Project Manager visited Liaoning University. Huo Chunhui, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Liaoning University, met with the guest and held discussions. The meeting was chaired by Xie Mingyi, Director of the Office of International Affairs.
Huo Chunhui extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He noted that Liaoning University has a long-standing and solid foundation of cooperation with U.S. universities, dating back to early faculty and student exchanges and current talent training programs. Over the years, these efforts have yielded fruitful results. He expressed his hope that, with the association’s support, the university would be able to expand cooperation with more renowned U.S. institutions in areas such as joint talent cultivation, short-term and long-term student exchanges, faculty exchange, and two-way study programs.
Yu Chunhai thanked Liaoning University for its hospitality and provided a brief overview of the association’s work. He stated that the association focuses on the internationalization of talent development, faculty, research, and platforms, aiming to connect Chinese institutions with high-quality North American resources. In recent years, the association has made significant progress in cooperative education and talent exchange and expressed readiness to support the university’s internationalization efforts and inter-institutional collaboration.
The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including joint training education, think tank base development and internship opportunities with international organizations.
The meeting was attended by Xue Youlin, Dean of the College of Light Industry, as well as representatives from the School of Information and the Office of International Affairs.
