Research interests
I have broad research interests in animal ecology and conservation biology, specially in emphasis on reproductive behavior ecology, molecular ecology of passerine birds. I am currently working on the following themes:
Mating System of Birds,
Characteristics of Parental Care,
The Impacts of Environment Change on Animals Particularly the Birds.
Social Positions
Director of China Ornithogical Society
Vice Secretary-general of Liaoning Zoological Society
Vice-president of Liaoning Wildlife Conservation Society
Member of Biology Teaching Guiding Committee in College and Universities of Liaoning Province
Awards:
Excellent undergraduate teacher of Shenyang
Outstanding master supervisor of Liaoning University
Teaching
I am responsible for the undergraduate course “General Biology”.
I take part in two modules in the Master (Biology):
“Modern Biological Research Methods and Biotechnology”, which is a general introduction to technologies that has been applied on biology and biotechnology involving living systems and organisms to develop or make products.
“Animal Evolution and Adaptation”, which comprises the overlap of three broader scientific fields: ecology, animal behavior and evolution.
