CAO xiangyu

CAO xiangyu, a professor at School of Life Science, Liaoning University, received B.S. degrees of biotechnology in 2003 and M.S. degrees of environmental sciences in 2006 respectively, both from Liaoning University. He completed his Ph.D degrees of food science in 2009 at Shenyang Agricultural University, China.

Professor Cao has received more than 12 research grants including the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has authored more than 50 publications and 6 patents. Dr. Cao received several awards including scientific and technological advancement of Liaoning Province, Liaoning Excellent Talents in University, Youth Agricultural Science and Technology Innovative Talents of Liaoning Province. In addition, he has mentored more than 10 M.S. students.

The research interests include: 1. Food biotechnology: Preparation, separation, purification, functional activity and mechanism research of natural product. 2. Food safety evaluation: Food safety evaluation of chemical compound and natural product. 3. Molecular nutriology.
