SU Yu, male, Han nationality, Shenyang, Liaoning. He graduated from the Department of Physics of Liaoning University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree; he studied for a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics in the Department of Physics of Liaoning University in 2004 and received a Master of Science degree in 2007; he entered Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications for a doctorate degree in Optical Engineering in 2008, during which he completed the design and development of an intelligent optical fiber laser system and received a doctorate in engineering in July 2012.

At present, the main research interests are optical fiber technology, optical fiber sensor network, optical fiber laser and so on. Courses taught successively include "Optical Fiber Technology and Applications", "Crystallography", "Optoelectronic Technology", "College Physics" and "Theoretical Physics".
