LIAN Yunjie, a woman professor with a master degree.Born in1966, and having graduated in1989 from  the English department of School of Foreign Studies,Liaoning University,Lian has been teaching in Liaoning University ever since.She is a supervisor of postgraduates majoring in the English language and literature.She is also a member of the Writers' Association  of Liaoning Province. She has taught various courses to the undergraduates such as Advanced English, Translation ,Basic English, Writing,Rhetoric,Canadian Literature,and the Introduction to Western Civilization,etc.She also teaches postgraduates  stylistics.

In 2007 , she was given the title of one of the Top Ten Teachers in Liaoning University.

So far, she   has written over twenty provincial theses,translated a dozen works,among which "Oliver Twist" (published by Jilin People's Publishing House in 2003) got the award for literature translation granted by Liaoning  Writers' Association, and also the first Liaoning provincial award.

She has compiled several academic works including "A Comparative Study of English and Chinese Stylistics" , "A General Introduction to Literature in English-Speaking Countries","A General Introduction to Canadian Literature",etc. In addition, she has taken charge of several provincial academic projects.
