ZHANG Yan

ZHANG Yan, female, was born in Shenyang, Liaoning Province in October 1975. In July 1998, she graduated from the German-French Department of Dalian Foreign Languages University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French. From 2000 to 2003, she continued to study at the College of Foreign Studies of Liaoning University, and obtained a Master of Arts degree in July 2003.

In July 1998, she joined the College of Foreign Studies of Liaoning University to teach French and obtain the title of associate professor. She has taught essential French, advanced French, French translation, French grammar, French extensive reading, French listening, spoken French and other courses to French majors. She has also served as an undergraduate and postgraduate secondary French teacher of English majors, and has been rated as one of the “Excellent Undergraduate Teachersof Liaoning University and  College of Foreign Studies.

In 1999, she accompanied the Shenyang Cultural Delegation to visit public universities in southern France to conduct studies and exchanges and worked as a translator. In 2001, she accompanied more than 10 actors of the Hunan Acrobatic Troupe to participate in the circus festival in the northern city of France and served as a translator. From 2003 to 2004, after being selected by the French Embassy in China, she went to Paris to give lectures and training, and worked as a teacher of Chinese as a foreign language.

Since 1998, she has published several papers on French language, culture and translation in various journals, including more than ten national papers, one CSSCI paper and one Peking University core journal. She edited one book as the main editor and participated in editing several books. Besides,she presided over a provincial scientific research project and participated in several national and provincial scientific research projects.
