Tie Mei is a professor and master tutor. She got the Doctor of Philosophy’s degree in Analytical Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, East China Normal University. She is engaged in environmental chemistry, instrumental analysis, environmental ecology and other aspects of teaching and research work.

 She devotes to the research on Determination of micro-trace elements and active components in environmental and biological samples, morphological analysis, migration and transformation, and mechanism of active components.

 In recent years, she has gradually extended basic research to applied research, focusing on the application of selenium in ecological agriculture, functional food, food safety and environmental protection. She has participated in the National Natural Science Foundation, the Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Department of agricultural research projects and many other national and provincial research projects. She published more than 60 papers in domestic and foreign journals. She won Liaoning Province Natural Science Academic Achievement Award for three consecutive years.
