Professor Han Hongjun graduated from Liaoning University in 1991, and gained Master’s Degree of Arts in 1997.

I have been engaged in teaching English to the undergraduates and postgraduates in College of Comprehensive Foundation Studies, Liaoning University ever since graduation. I have a rigorous, down-to-earth attitude towards teaching and learning and firmly believe in the concept of “No pains, no gains”. Based on the principles of teaching students according to their aptitude and imparting knowledge and educating people, I prefer to actively promote heuristic teaching, arouse students’ interest in learning English and pay attention to the cultivation of students’ comprehensive English application ability, thus further improving the quality of foreign language classroom teaching. In September, 2012, I was selected as “Excellent Undergraduate Teacher” of Liaoning University in 2010-2012 academic year. In December, 2013, I was appointed as the first teaching professor of Liaoning University.

In addition to undertaking heavy teaching tasks, I have accumulated a number of achievements of scientific research in my spare time. I published over twenty academic papers in Foreign Theoretical Trend (CSSCI), Red Flag Manuscript (CSSCI), Jiangxi Social Sciences (CSSCI), Mangzhong Literature, Journal of Shenyang Normal University, New Curriculum Research and so on. I published two translation works independently and two edited works, and presided over and/or compiled 9 teaching books, 2 reference books and 8 translation works. I won the third prize of higher education group in 2012 Liaoning Education Software Competition sponsored by Liaoning Provincial Department of Education, and the first prize of Excellent Academic Achievements and Works of Shenyang Social Sciences. I presided over a number of scientific research projects, including one general project of the 12th Five Year Plan for Education Science of Liaoning Province, one special key project of Foreign Language Teaching Reform of Colleges and Universities of Liaoning Higher Education Association, one project of Teaching Reform and one project of Exam Reform from Liaoning University, and take part in a great number of scientific research projects as well.

I hold several social part-time jobs such as IELTS, GESE and BEC examiner.
