Biography

For more than 30 years, Prof. Yu has made her commitment in teaching Japanese language as well as management in the college.

Courses Taught

Undergraduate Courses

Basic Japanese, Japanese Literature, Advanced Listening and Viewing, and Translation.

Graduate Courses 

Japanese Cultural Studies, Japanese Literature and Translation, etc.

Research Interest

Japanese Language and Culture, Literary Translation and Comparative Literature.

Further Education Qualification Overseas:

In 1995 and 2000, Prof. Yu went to Japan for research and study.

Main Research Achievements:

Monographs: History of Sino-Japanese Translation and Cultural Exchanges, Plot to Assassinate Hideki Tojo.

Papers: “Ryunosuke Akutagawa and his later works ‘River Boy’ ”, "Kawabata Yasunari's literary style of beauty", "On Japanese Literary Translation", etc.

Translated Works: Daughter of the Dragon God, Essence of World Riddle, Miniature Novels such as Rival in Love, Flower Research Institute, Long Life, and TV series Sophie and Virginia.

Chief editor, Deputy Chief editor of more than 10 textbooks, 2 dictionaries, etc.
