Professor XIE Di was born in December 1963. He is a Ph.D. in Economics, Second-level Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. He is the former Dean of Economics School of LNU, and is currently serving as the deputy director of Economics Department of LNU and in charging of daily work.
Professor XIE Di is a Leading Talent of Culture Master Project of Publicity Department of the CPC, Leading Talent in philosophy and social sciences under the "Ten Thousand People Program" of the Organization Department of the CPC, Chief Expert of Key Projects of National Social Science Fund, Professor of New Century Talent of the Ministry of Education, Expert enjoying the special government allowances from the State Council . He is also Vice President of Chinese Society for Political Economy, Vice President of National Society for the History of Marxism-Leninism Economic Thought, Vice President of Chinese “Das Kapital” Research Association, Vice President of Research Association for China’s Economic Development, President of Liaoning Provincial Statistical Society, Editorial Board Member of “Economic Perspectives” and Editor Board Member of “China Review of Political Economy”.
Also, Professor XIE Di is a policy-making advisory member of Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, expert of Liaoning CPPCC Think Tank, and counselor of Shenyang Municipal Government. He has rewarded as Shenyang the May Day Labor Medal and Liaoning the May Day Labor Medal.
Professor XIE Di has published more than 200 papers in Economic Research, People’s Daily, Guangming Daily, Economic Daily, as well as more than 20 monographs. He is a well-known scholar in the fields of national political economy, production economy and state economy research. On July 8th, 2016, he attended the seminar on Economic Situation hosted by General Secretary XI Jinping and delivered a speech on “Revitalization of Northeast and Revolution of State-owned Enterprise”. He has published a large numbers of articles in domestic authoritative journals and new media platforms including “Guangming Net ”, “Xinhua Net”, “China Social Sciences Net”, “CCTV Net” and “Northeast News Net”, providing academic interpretation for revitalization of Northeast China.
