Prof. AN Shanshan is currently serving as the Deputy Dean and Professor of the School of Journalism and Communication of Liaoning University. She received her Ph.D. in Communication from Peking University. She is the Director of New Media and Society Research Center of Liaoning University and Secretary-General of Liaoning Provincial Steering Committee on Journalism and Communication Major. She was selected into the national talent project and as a Liaoning Provincial Famous Teacher. She is also the host of National Virtual Simulation Gold Class on “Large-scale Themed Report of Converging Media on Virtual Simulation Experiment ”. As the first instructor,she has won two bronze awards, two provincial gold awards and two silver awards in national “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, as well as two gold awards in “Challenge-cup” Competition of Liaoning Provincial Youth League Committee. The Intelligent Farming Supporting Team led by Professor AN Shanshan has won the honorary title of “Advanced Collective for Poverty Alleviation” by Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government.
Prof. AN Shanshan’s main research areas are new media communication and social influence, media convergence and network public opinion. She independently undertakes the National Social Science Youth Fund Project, Youth Fund Project of the Ministry of Education, Outstanding Talent Support Team of Liaoning Provincial Department of Education, Scientific Research Project of Liaoning Provincial Department of Education, Economic and Social Development Project of Liaoning Provincial Federation Social Science Circles, Media Convergence Project of Publicity Department of Liaoning Provincial Party Committee, and more than 20 scientific research projects in national and provincial level. She has published some monographs such as “The Decline of Publicity: Interactive Participation and Influence on Network Public Opinion” and “The Interaction and Influence of Virtual Community”, as well as more than 30 papers in national core journals such as Journalism & communication, Modern Media, Contemporary Communication and Youth Studies. Her relevant scientific research achievements have rewarded as the second and third prizes of Liaoning Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Achievements, and the first prize of Shenyang Philosophy and Social Sciences Achievement.
