Prof. LIU Wenge

Prof. Dr. Liu Wenge was born in Nov. 1966. He has finished his post-doctoral program and is a doctoral supervisor. He is currently serving as Dean of School of International Economics and International Relations of Liaoning University. He has long been committed to research in the fields of international trade, world economy, political economy and geopolitical economics, especially in geopolitical economics and the economies of countries along the Belt and Road, the economic development and economic and trade cooperation of emerging economies and BRICS countries, as well as international and regional economic relations. He has presided over one major national social science project, four general projects of the National Social Science and Natural Science Foundation of China, three projects of the Humanities and Social Science Foundation of the Ministry of Education, and two China Post-doctoral Fund projects. He has won five provincial and ministerial scientific research awards. In 2012, he was selected as a distinguished professor of “Qianjiang Scholars” in Zhejiang Province. In 2008, he was selected as one of the New Century Excellent Talents by the Ministry of Education and one of the “four groups” of talents in Beijing’s publicity system. From 2018 to 2022, he served as a member of the Education Steering Committee of Economic and Trade Universities under the Ministry of Education. He was selected as a distinguished professor of “Climbing Scholars” of Liaoning Xingliao Talents in 2020. He also serves as the Executive Director of the Emerging Economies Research Association, the Executive Director of the China Association of Quantitative Economics, the Executive Director of the China World Economic Association, the expert of the BRICS Think Tank of the Wanshou Forum, and the expert of the National High end Think Tank Advisory Committee of the Institute of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce.
