Prof. Wu Yujie is a professor of College of Liberal Arts. She is a doctoral supervisor. She obtained her bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and doctor’s degree successively from Liaoning University and Beijing Normal University. She is a postdoctoral fellow at Seoul National University of South Korea, a visiting scholar at the University of Iowa in the United States, an “outstanding talent in the new century” of Ministry of Education, a distinguished professor and a famous undergraduate teacher of Liaoning Province, a “hundred-level talent” of the “hundred, thousand, and ten thousand talent” project in Liaoning Province, a famous cultural artist and one of “four batches” of talents in Liaoning Province, and a “woman pace-setter”of Liaoning Province. She is also the director of China Contemporary Literature Research Association, president of Liaoning Aesthetics Society, special critic of Liaoning Writers’ Association, special critic of Liaoning Institute of Literature, member of Chinese Writers’ Association and member of Chinese Literary Critics Association.
Prof. Wu Yujie is mainly engaged in the study of modern and contemporary Chinese literary criticism and literary aesthetics. She presided over more than 10 projects including the National Social Science Fund, and independently completed four books including Cultural Field and New Thinking of Literature, New Historicism and Artistic Construction of Historical Drama, and co-authored 12 books including Conflict and Interaction — Research on Literature and Mass Media in the New Period, Theoretical Research on Historical Transformation and Thoughts of Contemporary Chinese Literature. She has published more than 100 academic papers in Guangming Daily, Contemporary Writers Review and Contention of Literature and Art, and won more than 20 awards such as Outstanding Achievement Award of Philosophy and Social Sciences in Liaoning Province, Outstanding Achievement Award of Undergraduate Teaching in Liaoning Province, Outstanding Achievement Award of Chinese Contemporary Literature Research Association, Chinese Women’s Literature Award and Outstanding Achievement Award of Theoretical Research on Chinese Women.
