Prof. TANG Jijun, was born in November 1971. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Economics and is a post doctorate fellow in Theoretical Economics. He is currently a professor at the second level, a doctoral supervisor and is serving as the Dean of Research Institute of China State-owned Enterprise Reform and Development of Liaoning University.
He has been selected as New Century Outstanding Talent of the Ministry of Education, Professor of Changbai Mountain Scholar of Jilin province, one of Jilin Province’s fifth batch of innovative talents, one of the fourteenth group of Middle-aged and Young Talents who make outstanding contribution in Jilin province, Jilin University’s Kuang Yaming Distinguished Professor, Leading Talent in philosophy and social science of Climbing Scholar Program of Liaoning province, Professor of “Liaohe” Scholar and Outstanding Talent of Liaoning University. He was a visiting scholar at Indiana State University, a special researcher in the theoretical propaganda of state-owned enterprises in the Information Center of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and a senior researcher at China Industrial Research Institute of Capital University of Economics and Business. He studied at the Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in February 2010.
He has presided over more than 10 projects including one major project of National Social Science Fund, three projects of National Social Science Fund, and two key projects of Human and Social Science Research Base of the Ministry of Education. He has long been engaged in research on sunk costs and management of state-owned enterprises. He has published nearly 200 papers and more than 10 monographs in academic journals including Management World, China Industrial Economic, Economic Perspectives, and Economist, 10 of which was reprinted by Xinhua Digest, Social Science Digest, China University Academic Abstracts and Renmin University Reference Library. His research achievements won the first and second prizes of Jilin Provincial Government Award.
