Professor Tang Xiaohua is a Ph.D. in Economics, a second-level professor, and a doctoral supervisor at the School of Economics at Liaoning University. He is a recipient of special allowances from the State Council and a senior visiting scholar at Oxford University. He is also the leader of the second-level discipline of industrial economics in Liaoning University’s construction of a national ‘first-class discipline’ and a director of Advanced Manufacturing Industry Research Center of Liaoning University.

Prof. Tang Xiaohua serves as a director of the Shenyang Institute of Creating a National Advanced Manufacturing Industry Center and a director of the Advanced Manufacturing Industry Professional Committee of the China Industrial Economics Society. He is also serving as the Vice Chairman of the China Industrial Economics Society and Executive Director of the China Enterprise Management Research Association, as well as an Editorial Board Member of Contemporary Economic Science Magazine.

As the chief expert in his field, Professor Tang Xiaohua has successively presided over one major project in national philosophy and social sciences, one major research project in the philosophy and social sciences of the Ministry of Education, and six other projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation and the Philosophy and Social Sciences Foundation of the Ministry of Education, as well as projects by the National Natural Science Foundation. He has also presided over more than 20 provincial and ministerial level philosophy and social science foundation projects and has undertaken more than 10 horizontal projects entrusted by national ministries and provincial-level commissions.

Professor Tang Xiaohua has published over 60 academic papers in domestic core journals (CSSCI) such as Economic Research, China Industrial Economy, World Economy and Politics, Quantitative Economic and Technological Economic Research and China Population, Resources, and Environment. Over 20 of his academic monographs and works have been published by China Social Science Press, Economic Science Press, and Economic Management Press. He  won a Third Prize in the ‘Outstanding Achievement Award for Scientific Research in Higher Education Institutions (Humanities and Social Sciences) Works’ issued by the Ministry of Education, two First Prizes, three Second Prizes, and five Third Prizes in the Liaoning Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Achievement (Government) Award. He has also won more than ten First Prize, Second Prize, and Third Prizes in other provincial-level Philosophy and Social Sciences Achievement Awards. He has been awarded titles including ‘Outstanding Teacher in Liaoning Province’, ‘Leader of Innovation Team in Liaoning Province Higher Education Institutions’, and ‘Innovative Leading Talent in Shenyang City’. In addition, he has won honors including the ‘Liaoning May 1^st Labor Medal’, ‘Shenyang May 1^st Labor Medal’, and the ‘Model Worker Studio’.
