Professor Bai Qinxian, a renowned financial economist and doctoral supervisor, is an appointed member of the 4th and 5th Academic Degree Committee of the State Council of China as well as a recipient of the First Reward for Outstanding Contribution to China Financial Research and of the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award for China Finance Degree. Prof. Bai currently serves as Dean of the International Financial Research Institute at Liaoning University while also being a doctoral supervisor in international finance, deputy director of the Academic Committee, and a member of the Degree Committee at Liaoning University. Previously he has served as a distinguished professor of Lingnan College at Sun Yat-sen University and as executive director of the China Financial Society, along with being appointed as a visiting professor and adjunct professor for more than ten universities, including the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University, Shandong University, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, and East China Normal University. Prof. Bai also serves as a member of the Consultative Committee of the People’s Government of Liaoning Province and of the People’s Government of Shenyang. Some of his achievements include being published and reprinted by authoritative journals such as Qiushi, Economics Research, and Xinhua Digest. During over fifty years of teaching, Prof. Bai has published more than 300 papers and over 40 monographs, not to mention delivering over 300 lectures. He has been listed as one of the “Most Influential Scholars in Philosophy and Social Sciences” and invited to write the Handbook of Chinese Economics. Prof. Bai has trained over 100 PhD and postdoctoral students and has made outstanding contributions to financial teaching, financial system reform, and financial fundamental theory.
