Abstract: This paper discusses the following three issues: the rise of the wave of criticism of technological rationality and its relationship with technological pessimism; The nature of techno-pessimism; The enlightenment of technological pessimism to our modernization. The article emphasizes that the study of technological rationality and technological pessimism is helpful for us to grasp and coordinate the relationship between the two strategies of rejuvenating the country through science and education and sustainable development from a deeper level.
