Abstract: Based on the financial data of the United States from 1997 to 2010, this paper selects 18 relevant indicators to measure the sustainable financial development ability of the United States. The results show that the financial sustainability of the United States has been declining since 2002, reaching a very fragile level in 2007, and improving after 2008.
